The Williamsport-area resident was found dead along I-80 near Mexico and Creek roads in Liberty Township late on Friday, Oct. 13, state police previously said.

The Montour County Coroner's Office said he died by homicide but did not describe the cause of death.

Now, authorities say Cagle was shot in the chest while still in Williamsport and then driven to Montour County where his remains were discarded. Investigators believe he was killed on or after Wednesday, Oct. 11.

The body was discovered (...) when a woman walking her dog saw what appeared to be the shape of a human inside garbage bags," troopers said.

A $2,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
